I recently read The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson. Eric compiles a bunch of Naval's thoughts on wealth, happiness, success, and philosophy, and distills it into a beautiful book.

When I was a kid, and people asked me "What superpower would you want to have?" My answer would usually be mind-reading. Or super-speed.
I ran pretty well in high school, but I never was able to get that super-speed I always talked about. But I was able to figure out that mind reading was available to all of us. At least, some form of it.

It's been cool to stick to this, so far. Writing is like pool, or golf. The more you do it, the easier it flows, and your skill sharpens.
Not that I know how to golf. And I'm pretty below average at pool. But the comparison was nice, you have to admit.
I wanted to spend this Monday musing about motivation.
When you look at the possible impacts COVID will have on the world going forward, they seem innumerable. Will we leave cities for good? Will companies encourage remote work to save on rent and attract more diverse candidates? Will we swarm back to bars and concerts, or will we hesitate? What types of businesses come out of this stronger, and what kinds fail? Will this glimpse into a world with less pollution encourage us to fight harder against emissions?
I read a medium article earlier that used this phrase "The Great Pause" to describe the present reality with Covid.
The virus, although it's a clear and undebatable tragedy for so many, is the exhale that everyone said that they were looking for. It's the oxford comma in the middle of the sentence. It's the top of the rollercoaster when the chain stops clicking and you're waiting to see what's next.
Everyday on LinkedIn, I see marketers asking for book recommendations. Some classics pop up. The Art of Influence, Don't Make Me Think, Hey Whipple Squeeze This, etc. But I rarely see fiction books among the lists.
